Is The Job Outlook For Nurses Decreasing?
Saturday, November 7th, 2009The year 2009 has been a tough one for the economy with many losing their jobs. Before the melt down it seems many were heading into the medical field as demand was expected to grow due to the aging population. Since the economic meltdown however many may be rethinking the nursing career opportunity.
One thing to keep in mind is that the population is still aging unless someone figured out how to stop the aging process. People that are getting older will still need more health care. However maybe people working as a nurse will put off retirement and make the demand for new nurses not as high as expected. But due to past demand the likelihood of demand for nursing professionals is still probable. That may be way it appears so many RNs are attending BSN programs to help them advance their careers.
